About Me


I have been on both sides of the weight loss journey, struggling to get moving and as fit as a fiddle. My highest weight was 243 pounds and my lowest was 138 pounds. I have since gained some of the weight back because I have arthritis and am trying to figure out what is the best things for me to do and also because simply put, life gets in the way sometimes.  

I have my Weight Resistance Trainer certification, completed the Health Wellness and Recreation course through Eastern College and am a Certified Personal Trainer.  It was both fun, motivating and tough all at the same time!  Just the right blend though.  I am currently working with clients online, through my travelling Dump the Junk Fitness Personal Training business, at the Gordon Snow Recreation Centre, at Mount Saint Vincent University, and CrossFit BasinView.  If anyone would have told me l this is what I'd be doing in life, and not working in an office as an admin assistant I'd have said they were crazy.  Just goes to show you can do anything you put your mind to, I have, that's for sure!

  1. I have lost 102 pounds, taking me about 2 years. To date I'm working as a Weight Resistance Trainer Specialist at a local rec center with HRM. I also take great pride in coaching people through their difficulty times on their weight loss journey and love patting them on the back for a job well done when they reach their goals. That's what being in this profession is all about!!
